Patient and Caregiver Welcome
All cancer patients and their family members and friends are invited to watch the Patient and Caregiver Welcome video or view the Cancer Center Guidebook to prepare for getting care at UCSF.
The video and guidebook include an overview of the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center's services; tips for navigating the UCSF system; links to resources, such as a personal health manager "kit"; and an overview of all the support services available to patients and their caregivers.
Our Services
Our library offers comfortable areas to read or access a computer, sip tea and relax. Library materials may be checked out. Staff members and volunteers can help you find cancer-related information online and in print.
The center also helps with:
- Clinical trials information
- Communicating with your doctor
- Community resources
- Coping with chemotherapy
- Diet and nutrition consultation
- Providing health information and resources
- Exercise counseling
- Support groups
