Psychiatry Clinic
Serving adults age 18 and older, UCSF Psychiatry provides consultations, evaluations and treatment through visits to our clinic. We care for patients with a wide range of mental health concerns and behavioral disturbances, including depression, anxiety and psychosis.
We offer specialized care for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), tic disorders and bipolar disorders. We also have services tailored to the needs of specific patient groups, such as the LGBTQ+ community, older adults and women.
Each patient receives an initial assessment. Based on the results, we develop an individualized treatment plan, which may include ongoing medication management, short-term individual therapy or group therapy (such as cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT), and referrals to community providers.
UCSF offers various therapies and services for qualified adults with certain serious psychiatric conditions who have a referral from a psychiatrist. Read more about our specialized care.
We are part of the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences.
